Who We Help

Everyone Deserves to Be Heard

Every story of abuse is different, but what many survivors share is a long silence that should never have been required of them. Some were hurt in locations where they should have been safe. Others were let down by the very institutions meant to protect them. Many have lived with that pain for years, unsure whether anyone would ever truly listen.

If any of this feels familiar, please know your experience matters, and you are not alone.

Whether your story fits into one of the groups below or feels harder to define, support is available. Our role is to offer clear guidance, honest information and a safe space where your story will be heard.

We specialise in supporting people who have experienced abuse in settings where there should have been protection and accountability, and getting them the financial compensation they deserve.

People Abused While in the Care of the Scottish Government

Many survivors experienced abuse as children while living in care settings such as children’s homes, foster care or other state-run institutions. A formal redress scheme now acknowledges this harm, offers financial compensation and recognises its impact. We explain how the scheme works, help gather information and guide you step by step — you stay in control and your story is treated with dignity.

People Abused Within the Church of England

The Church of England is launching a formal compensation scheme for people who experienced abuse within its institutions. We can help you prepare your application and present your story clearly. You decide what to share and when — always at your pace.

Survivors of Abuse by Someone Who Has Been Convicted

Some survivors may be eligible for compensation through the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) when the offender has been convicted. We simplify the process, handle paperwork and guide you carefully so that you feel supported and never rushed.

People Abused by Organisations with a Duty of Care

Some were harmed in care homes, foster placements, schools, sports clubs or other settings where adults had a duty to protect. We listen carefully, explain your options clearly and, if you choose, connect you with experienced legal professionals who act with sensitivity and respect.

If Your Situation is Different

Not every story fits neatly into a category. If you’re unsure whether we can help, reach out for a confidential conversation. We’ll listen without judgement and, if needed, connect you with other services so you’re never left without support.

Our Pledge

No matter what your story looks like, you will be met with dignity, respect and compassion.

Your information will be kept strictly confidential, you will always be in control of your own choices, and you will never be pressured to take a step before you are ready.
