Songs by Kevin Young

Coming Home
For handling a stolen watch at the age of 17, Kevin was imprisoned for a short period 3 months at Medomsley Detention Centre, where he and numerous other boys were systematically abused. Coming home was therefore something to celebrate - but it was 20 years later before he felt ready to tell his story.

Too Young
In later life, seeing younger kids around him made him think of of his own damaged youth, alongside the ongoing sadness of living on in a world that doesn't know how to protect the youth of today.

Songs by Dirk McCray

Circa 911
The terrorist attack on the twin towers brought about this song, yet it has another title, 'Turn the Light on Love'. These words are some of the most moving and inspiring ever written.

It Wouldn't Take a Miracle
When support is given, the courage to face up to real, but difficult feelings gives way to strength. With 'just a little love', we get reborn into the world once more.

Songs by Mick Agnew

Judgement Day
With a reggae beat, this song reminds us that for abusers, there will be nowhere to run on Judgement day.

Life in the Jailhouse
A high ratio of those serving time in our prisons are child abuse survivors, and their stories are seldom ever told. Upon release, society itself becomes their new jailhouse, because it's impossible for most to feel free from their pasts.

David Keogh (Kog)

Pill Warmth
In the aftermath of repeated suicide attempts, redemption from an angel brings about the decision to live. David, the writer of this song is not a survivor of child abuse, but feels for many of his friends who are.

Wish
This wish is about going home and getting released from prison. Like David's last track, the guitar playing here is remarkable.

Songs by Ritchie

A collection of love songs, sung in a beautiful arrangement of light jazz.

One Down

She's no Matron.

Songs by Damian McCarthy

Heart of Stone

A love song, set to a rhythmical acoustic guitar accompaniment.

Nightmares

A touching song about how it feels to be a child seeking comfort, and find protection from the nightmares of the night.

Same Old Town

This is about going back to the town he grew up in, and noticing that despite being older, buildings remain the same, and the people still play the same old games they always did.
